The Strongest "Flight" in Its Class
It's common knowledge that depending on the field, season, conditions, and the baitfish you're matching, a slim-shaped minnow has the advantage. But there's one complaint that slim minnows, lacking bulk, can't escape: "I want to cast it even farther!"
The key elements that produce distance are weight, center of gravity, and air resistance. The challenge was how to maximize these within the constrained form of a slim minnow. In developing Haluca, dozens of types of samples were produced and repeatedly cast-tested, and the team focused on "stability of flight posture" as the element to further improve castability.
In the Haluca 125 and 145, a distinctive weight balance — lowering the center of gravity in the weight-transfer mechanism, distributing the transfer weights (the T2B/T2B2 system), and positioning a tail weight to correct the center-of-gravity vector — achieves a stable flight posture even under adverse conditions. This allowed the lure to achieve top-class distance within the slim minnow category for its class. The largest in the series, the 165, is equipped with a full-tungsten weight-transfer mechanism, finished with a balance that allows long casts without losing flight stability even in poor conditions.
Action
The action is a wobble-roll action with an increased rolling ratio, suited to everything from slow to high-speed retrieves.
As retrieve speed increases, the swing width amplifies, and the flat-sided portion of the body asserts a strong presence during the roll. The slender body line also makes the silhouette look smaller and more natural while swimming, giving it a high probability of drawing strikes even from selective targets.
For use in saltwater, the running depth is approximately 10–60 cm for the 125/145 and approximately 30–90 cm for the 165 (this may vary slightly depending on conditions and the tackle used). It's a shallow runner that won't dive too deep. Use in brackish or freshwater will differ due to differences in specific gravity.

T2B/T2B2 Weight-Transfer System (125, 145)
To stabilize flight posture in a slim form, Haluca adopted the T2B/T2B2 weight-transfer system. One concept behind it is lowering the center of gravity — achieved by making the weight balls themselves smaller in diameter and distributing them across three positions. Specifically, two tungsten weights and one brass weight (two for the 125S) are arranged in sequence. This represents the upper weight limit for giving Haluca's slim body the potential to function as a true minnow.
The arrangement — two tungsten weights at the front and a brass weight at the rear — is the sequence that casting tests showed produced the best distance.
Tail Weight (125, 145)
A fixed weight is placed at the very rear of the tail. This fixed weight reliably guides the center-of-gravity vector toward the tail during casting, firmly stabilizing flight posture and significantly contributing to improved castability and accuracy. Even in mis-casts caused by issues like line-release slippage, it minimizes the breakdown of flight posture.
Lip
The size, angle, and mounting position were thoroughly pursued so as not to hinder distance. A small lip, set at a shallow angle and mounted in the most forward position — this is the final answer derived from field testing. Needless to say, its shape is also designed to produce sharp, crisp rolling action. And strength must not be forgotten either — a lure that easily cracks from a mis-cast against rocks on a reef can't be called a trustworthy saltwater minnow. Haluca's lip is built with the practical durability needed for actual fishing use.
Front Eye
The front eye is a split-ring-less design. This is meant to minimize the front-heavy balance that would otherwise result from the added weight of an attached part. When using it, please attach a cross-lock snap directly to the eye ring.
125F
The 125F can be called the basic model of the slim minnow lineup. Its overwhelming distance for its class and highly refined swimming action further expand the range of situations a slim minnow can tackle, broadening the possibilities.
